Working Hard to Please "You" my Amazing fans.

You know me, I can't sit still for a moment, even through my illness I wrote two books, so now, as I get ready to go back to work (slowly fazing in), I still find I have some time to learn more about how to have an awesome, useful website that will have interesting content on it as well as how to let people know about my awesome website with interesting content.  And that my friends is all about mastering the art of Social Media.  So in order to get better at Social Media I have decided to take the Ten Day Social Media Challenge as offered by Natalie Sisson, The Suitcase Entrepreneur.

So, how can I go about improving my Social Media presence?  I think there are a few things I need to do.
  • Focus on Facebook, Twitter and Google+
  • Start to create more posts with Video and Photos
  • Ask interesting questions to get more engagement
  • Try to encourage people to click the link taking them this website
I also want to learn about podcasting and how to create some great podcasts on topics that would be of interest to my tribe :-)  That's the South African in me, calling you guys my tribe.

Social media ChallengeHere is a (totally goofy) video I just made to get the ball rolling.  I'd love it if you could click on one of the SHARE buttons below this video to share this post and the video so we can see the true power of Social Media in action.

Come on go ahead and CLICK on a button below....... You know you want to :-)

Great hula hooping skills. I'd say you can get very specific and plan out a content marketing plan that sees you posting great articles and videos regularly within your timeframe and resources to engage with your audience.

There's a lot you can do on this blog too such as a compelling banner that tells people where they've come to and why they should stick around, larger font size so it's easier to read. Larger font heading size too and get rid of these emoticons please - it's hard to type a comment with them moving around! :)

Great points Natalie. As you know, I'm in the process of having some of that done as I port over to WordPress. No silly emoticons either (they came with this theme and I don't know how to get rid of them). Agreed about the font size.....again, I didn't know how to change it in this theme, but doesn't matter I'm heading to Wordpress by the end of next week.

Looking forward to working with you some more.
Michelle
