The Best News!

I simply cannot wait to share this news, so this is just a short updated blog post to let everyone know.

Today I went to my chemo session and met with my oncologist Dr. Sasha.  He told me the most incredible thing.  The pathology from my mastectomy had come back and it was completely clear.  Absolutely no cancer found.  Not in the breast and not in any of the lymph nodes they have removed.

You cannot imagine my joy at getting this news.  Dr. Sasha explained to me that with this level of response to chemo and radiation, my five year survival rate is now closer to 80%.   Isn't that just fantastic.  He will do a PET Scan in June or July to determine if any cancer cells have found their way into other parts of my body and not been killed by the chemo.  Sasha figures this is highly unlikely.

So....for now...it's party time!  I'm not Cancer Free and in the clear but pretty damned close.  All those prayers and positive thoughts have made a huge difference.

Hello world!  Watch out here I come!

Big Hugs!

Michelle

Yes Jane, it does. Keep an eye out for the public launch of the Documentary and Book this summer. Don't miss it. BTW, how are you enjoying the book?

Thanks Steve, it must be my fortitude from running with "The VH3" the helped pull me through this one.

Thanks Sparkles, God played a huge part in this along with my two angels and my determination. Onwards and upwards, upwards, upwards.

So pleased all went good. The healing time is the most important. One tip that I should have done myself, keep rubbing your finger gently over the scar tissue, this will help with reconnecting the nerves and make life easier in the long run. Obviously I couldn't do mine because they were on my back.
